Custom Pergolas & Shade Structures
Custom pergolas & shade structures
Bioclimatic aluminium pergolas with rotating louvres, retractable fabric and fixed roofs, glazing and side screens — engineered, manufactured and delivered to your dimensions. Built for the tropics: monsoon rain, salt air, UV and humidity are part of the specification, not an afterthought. For private villas, restaurants, hotels and development projects in Phuket and across Thailand.

Bioclimatic pergolas and shade systems
Six product families that combine into one structure. The roof controls sun, rain and airflow; the side systems decide how open or how enclosed the space becomes; lighting and automation make it usable after dark and through the monsoon. All configurations are made to order — request a quote for your dimensions.

Pergolas with rotating louvres
Bioclimatic pergolas with adjustable aluminium blades for precise control of sun and ventilation. Open them for a cross-breeze at midday, close them to a watertight roof when the rain arrives.

Fabric roof pergolas
A retractable sun-shading fabric roof that folds away in seconds. Light, adaptable and easy to fit to awkward sites, roof terraces and existing structures.

Fixed roof pergolas
Perforated aluminium sheet or fixed 150 mm (about 6 in) louvres for a strict, permanent canopy geometry where no moving parts are wanted.

Side systems & glazing
ZIP screens, glass panels, sliding louvred shutters and curtains that close the perimeter and turn a terrace into a sheltered room.

Cantilever parasols
Free-standing parasols that complement a pergola to zone terraces, cafe seating and poolside areas without additional foundations.

Lighting & automation
Dimmable LED, rain and wind sensors, solar power and heating — specified together with the structure so the wiring is concealed inside the frame.

Louvre pergola models
From a compact manual frame for a small terrace to a wide-span commercial structure. Model names are the factory designations; the size, colour and equipment are configured per project. Send your dimensions and we will confirm the right model and return a quote.

Lucida M140S
Manual entry-level model for a first shade structure. Simple crank control, compact section, ideal for a small villa terrace or a courtyard seating area.

Stellar M/E140
The practical middle ground: manual or electric operation with precise louvre angle control. The most frequently specified model for private terraces.

Stellar Ultra M/E140U
Reinforced post, beam and louvre profiles. The best balance of structural capacity and cost where wind exposure is higher.

Aurora M/E175U
Premium residential specification: higher load capacity, improved concealed drainage and greater wind resistance for exposed hillside and beachfront villas.

Luna E220
Intelligent electric model. Opening, closing and louvre angle in a single command, ready for sensor automation and scene control.

Wanax E300
Maximum shaded area and the widest clear span for large terraces, restaurant decks and public spaces.
What makes the structure comfortable and durable
The details that decide whether a terrace is usable in April heat and in an October downpour — and whether the structure still looks new after five monsoon seasons.
Rotating louvres
Adjust the blade angle to dial in how much sun enters and how much hot air escapes. In tropical conditions the ventilation matters as much as the shade.
Waterproof when closed
Sealed louvre contours and concealed drainage through the posts carry monsoon rain away and keep the space under the pergola dry.
Wind resistance
Reinforced profiles and a load calculation for the specific site keep the structure stable through squalls and storm season.
UV & heat control
Closed louvres reflect direct sun and cut the heat build-up underneath, which lowers the load on nearby air conditioning.
Manual or electric control
Crank operation or a motorised drive with opening scenes and integration with rain and wind sensors.
Corrosion protection
Marine-grade powder coating over 6063-T5 aluminium with SS304 stainless fixings — specified for salt-laden air near the coast.
Installation configurations
The mounting scheme follows the plot layout and the way the space is used — free-standing in the garden, attached to the villa, or run as a continuous line along a restaurant deck.

Free-standing on four posts
The classic island structure, placed anywhere on the plot — over a dining terrace, a lounge area or a sun deck by the pool.

Wall-mounted on two posts
Attached to the villa facade, with only two posts on the terrace. Keeps the floor area clear and reads as an extension of the building.

Modules integrated in a line
Several bays joined into one continuous canopy for long terraces, restaurant decks and walkways.

Module over module extension
Stacked and stepped modules for split-level terraces and sloping sites, following the existing architecture.

Custom layout for the site
L-shaped, angled or wrapped layouts designed around a pool, a mature tree or an irregular plot boundary.
Smart options and equipment
Optional equipment that makes the pergola self-managing and usable all year round. All of it is specified with the structure so the cabling stays hidden inside the aluminium sections.
LED lighting
Perimeter gutter strip, lighting built into the louvre blade, RGB and downlights. Every option is dimmable, and IP-rated for outdoor use in high humidity.
Rain & wind sensor
Closes the louvres automatically when the weather turns — essential during monsoon season when a squall arrives while nobody is on the terrace.
Solar panel
Powers the automation and lighting without a mains connection. Useful for remote garden structures and beach-side salas.
Heater
Warms the zone under the pergola quickly for cooler evenings and air-conditioned resort terraces.
Sensor automation scenes
Opening, closing and louvre angle stored as scenes and triggered from a remote, a wall control or a schedule.
Concealed cable routing
Power and control runs are routed inside the posts and beams, so nothing is exposed to sun, rain or salt.
Side systems and glazing
Any of these connect to any pergola and create a sheltered, insect-free and wind-protected perimeter — the difference between a seasonal terrace and a room that works every day of the year.

ZIP screens
Tensioned fabric screens running in a zip track. They stay taut in wind, block driving rain and low sun, and keep insects out in the evening.

Sheer curtains & Italian fabric
Soft, light curtains for filtered shade and privacy where a full enclosure would feel heavy.

Sliding louvred shutters
Aluminium shutter panels that slide along the perimeter, so shade and privacy can be moved where they are needed through the day.

Bi-fold glass panels
Folding and sliding glazing that closes the terrace completely for air-conditioned use and opens flat against the frame when not needed.

Rotating louvre screens
Vertical adjustable blades for the sides — the same sun and airflow control as the roof, applied to the west-facing elevation.

Decorative & perforated panels
Patterned and perforated aluminium infills that add texture, dapple the light and screen an unwanted view.
Colours and textures
Standard powder-coated palette plus timber-effect finishes. Custom RAL colours are available to order — useful when the pergola has to match existing villa joinery or a hotel identity.
Where pergolas work
The same engineering, sized and equipped differently depending on who uses the space and how often.

Private terraces & courtyards
Patios, outdoor dining and lounge areas at private villas — usable through the heat of the day and through a monsoon shower.

Restaurants & hospitality
Covered dining decks that keep seats sellable in the rain and shaded at lunch, with lighting and heating built in.

Hotels, spas & pools
Poolside cabanas, lounge zones and spa terraces where guests expect shade, breeze and shelter in the same structure.

Development & residential projects
Shared courtyards, roof terraces and landscaped amenity areas across residential developments.

Commercial spaces
Break-out areas for offices, retail and public buildings, sized for continuous daily use.

Production and quality control
Pergolas are built from 6063-T5 aluminium with SS304 stainless steel fixings and a powder coating rated for water and UV exposure. Quality is checked at every stage of production, and the material specification is chosen for the environment the structure will live in — salt air near the beach, driving rain in the monsoon, constant UV the rest of the year.
- 6063-T5 aluminium frame with SS304 stainless fixings
- Powder coating resistant to water and ultraviolet light
- ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified production
- Supplied to projects in 60+ countries
- Aluminium and stainless components will not rot or attract termites
- IP-rated lighting and drives for humid outdoor conditions

Common questions
The questions that come up most often before a pergola project starts.
How is a bioclimatic louvre pergola different from an ordinary canopy?
Rotating louvres let you regulate how much sun enters and how much air moves through, and close into a watertight roof when it rains. A fixed canopy gives you none of that flexibility — it is either shading or it is not, and it traps hot air underneath.
How much does a pergola cost?
Price on request. Cost depends on the model, the span, the control type and the equipment — a compact manual frame and a wide-span motorised structure with glazing are very different projects. Send the terrace dimensions and we will come back with a model recommendation and a quote.
Which model should I choose for a villa terrace, and which for a restaurant?
For a private terrace, Stellar or Aurora usually fit. For commercial sites and long spans, Luna E220 or Wanax E300 are the better base. The final model is confirmed after the dimensions and load calculation.
Electric or manual control?
Manual costs less and works well for smaller structures. Electric is far more convenient in daily use and is required if you want rain and wind sensors, scheduled scenes or remote operation — which most clients in a monsoon climate end up wanting.
Will it stand up to a tropical storm and monsoon rain?
Yes, when specified for the site. The structure is calculated against the local wind load, rain drains through concealed channels in the posts, and a weather sensor can close the louvres automatically before a squall arrives. Beachfront and hillside plots get a reinforced specification.
What about salt air, humidity and termites?
Aluminium and stainless steel do not rot and are of no interest to termites, which is the main advantage over a timber pergola in Phuket. For coastal sites we use marine-grade powder coating and SS304 fixings, and we specify IP-rated drives and light fittings for high humidity.
Can I order a custom size and colour?
Yes. Dimensions are made to order for the site. The standard RAL palette, timber-effect textures and custom RAL colours are all available, including matching an existing villa or hotel palette.
Which side systems and glazing can be added?
ZIP screens, sheer curtains, sliding louvred shutters, folding and sliding glass panels, rotating louvre screens and decorative perforated panels. They can be combined on different elevations of the same structure.
What is included in the smart automation?
Rain and wind sensors, a solar panel for off-grid power, a heater and dimmable LED lighting — perimeter strip, in-louvre lighting, RGB and downlights.
What are the production and delivery lead times?
Lead time depends on the model, dimensions and equipment. Exact dates are confirmed in the specification once the project is agreed, and we schedule delivery around the site programme.
What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?
Up to 5 years depending on model and operating conditions. Product passports and warranty documents are handed over with the structure, and we stay available for service and spares.
